Living Donation California Featured on Weekly News Program

SAN DIEGO, Calif., June 9, 2013 – Altruistic living kidney donor Lorena Rodriguez was featured on San Diego People, a weekly television news program on KUSI-TV in San Diego. On the Sunday morning program, Rodriguez shared her story of how she decided to donate her kidney to a complete stranger.

Lisa Stocks, President of Donate Life California, along with Dr. Marian Davis, UCSD and Rady Children’s Hospital Transplant Surgeon, also appeared on the program to educate people about living kidney donation. More than 17,000 Californians are on the national waiting list for a kidney transplant.
